Rose Arcana in B/W

This illustration is a pen & ink spinoff of my Red Death illustration.  The title of this illustration is taken from a song of the same name on the album So Red the Rose by the Duran Duran spinoff band, Arcadia.

It was first published in the 1995 chap book A Free Heart then later in the 1997 edition of An Ancient Death is the Most Beautiful, a vampire chap book.

Vampire the Masquerade: Toreador

This illustration was done for a male vampire character of the Toreador clan in the Sabbat faction of White Wolf's RPG, Vampire the Masquerade.  The chess piece is a symbol of his rank in the vampire society.

Duran Duran: Girls on Film

This illustration is another tribute to one of my early influences,  Patrick Nagel, and my song illustration for Duran Duran's Girls on Film from their debut album. 

I had the opportunity to meet Duran Duran on the Wedding Album tour and gave them a framed original of this illustration.

Still Life Drawings

These still life drawings are done slowly and the purpose is to capture not only the correct proportions of an object but to capture as much volume and shadow detail as possible in order to give the impression of what the object looks like in real life.  The samples below are some that I did during my Drawing I class in 2011 (candlestick set & china dishes) and some I did in 2006 (apple and pear) as an exercise for my hand.

Love Worth Dying For

This is the first illustration in an elemental couple set titled Love Worth Dying For. Depicted here are the elements Fire and Water.  As the male fire elemental leans in for a passionate kiss from the female water elemental they begin to dissipate where they touch.  Next in the series will be Earth & Wind.
