Between the world of men and transcendent divinity there exists art. Art is the will to truth made physically manifest. It is more real then Reality. It is a dialogue triumphant over Time. – Andre Malraux

Beyond Redemption

This illustration tells the story of an outcast angel filled with longing and regret for the role she played in the War for Heaven.  A priest approaches her and asks if he can help her. She tells him there is no hope for her.  Curious, the priest tells her that no one is beyond redemption and that God will forgive her if she asks, that his love is unconditional.  She turns to him and reveals her true identity, telling him that she knows what He is capable of and she cannot be saved.

My favorite part of creating this was the stain glass.  I love stained glass windows and loved designing this one.  The green represents earth and the blue represents the sky.

The Centaur

This illustration was my first concept of a centaur.  When I was younger, I always loved to draw horses and I loved reading Greek mythology.  My idea for this piece was to capture a centaur basking in the sun perhaps at a pool of water.  It was a nice start and perhaps one day I will draw another one.

Heaven's Light

This illustration was my first attempt at a large scale watercolor painting on cold press illustration board.  What I ended up liking about using watercolors was their ability to easily blend together to create highlights and shadowing.  This image was also a good exercise in learning composition.
