Between the world of men and transcendent divinity there exists art. Art is the will to truth made physically manifest. It is more real then Reality. It is a dialogue triumphant over Time. – Andre Malraux

Awaiting the Century

This illustration is the sixth image for my gothic vampire series, Red Death.  This image started out being a Vampire the Masquerade illustration for a friend of mine who was playing a vampire from the Ventrue clan.  The reception of it went over so well that I adopted it into my series, Red Death, drawn exclusively in black and white with a touch of red.

This image was also the back cover of the 1996 edition of (Im)mortal, a vampire poetry chap book.

Vasco

This illustration is another tribute to one of my early influences,  Patrick Nagel.  I loved the challenge of seeing the world through Patrick's eyes and his style helped me to better understand composition, anatomy, and shadow effects.

This illustration in particular was done for an AD&D character in the campaign setting Ravenloft.

Point Blank

This illustration was my first foray into the world of science fiction.  I had a lot of fun designing it.  I also loved the challenge of the foreshortened arm.  It was tough but well worth the effort.  Overall, I am happy with this experiment and may try more sci-fi themed pieces later on.
